Work in the community

At Fluid I.T. our work goes beyond the services that we provide to our clients: we believe in supporting our local community and helping it to develop and grow. We have a number of projects to this end, including:

- Work experience and training: We work hard to provide long-term training and employment opportunities to people from our local community who otherwise might not have such opportunities. All of our trainees and work experience students have come to us through the charities and schools that we work with. We have succeeded in helping previous trainees through the ECDL, A+ and even onto a university degree course. We also have a work-experience programme with a local secondary school.

- Reconditioning equipment: Many of the computers that reach the end of their working life with our business clients can be used elsewhere, and we recondition as many as we can and put them back to use for the charities we support. We have also donated a number of shipments of older equipment out to organisations in countries such as Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

- Rebates: We provide discounted services to our charity and not-for-profit clients in order to ensure that good quality IT infrastructure and support is as affordable as possible to them.

- Training: We provide a number of additional training programs, including working with local children in the community, and patients at the Mildmay AIDS hospice.

- Donations: We support a number of small charities who are working hard to transform people's lives and the local community. For those organisations that are particularly short of funding, we donate computers, software and time to support them in their work. We are privileged to be able to do this, and by using Fluid IT as your IT service provider, you can be confident of supporting the local community.
